Software, OS, servers are tools. Some are better at doing some things, other better at other things. Windows is not better than Linux, and the reverse is also true. Each has its own advantages.

The best tool is often the one best known by the people using it. If you want to use some software, get to know it. If you don’t understand how it works, it might not be the right solution for you.

LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP) is a good website toolset. This blog is (mainly) about better using it to build better websites.
